Izzana Salleh is a recent entrant into the Corporate and Investment Banking field. Formerly an entrepreneur, she set up a trading and logistics business supplying local and imported food products to the Malaysian market. This business showed great growth and profitability within the Malaysian food industry, allowing her to expand her business into F&B. Within a short span of time, Izzana set up five successful outlets in Malaysia and Singapore, as well as created her own homegrown franchise brand.
Outside of her work, Izzana is extremely passionate in matters of women’s empowerment and education. She has founded several grassroots programs to better her community. These programs include Mandarin Journey for Wanita UMNO (empowering political grassroots Malay women to learn Mandarin language and Chinese culture) and Permata Interact (teaching English to underprivileged youth) and are aimed to better the participant’s skills, in attaining their envisioned success.
She is a qualified Biotechnologist from California State University, Pomona with a specialization in colorectal cancer research, having been a researcher with Howard Hughes Medical Institute, Pasadena, California. She also has a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with a focus in Finance and Management from Imperial College Business School, London.
